A family-run design-build firm creating motorized pergolas and outdoor rooms that quietly outperform the weather — for a handful of homes each season.
Aesthetics and engineering, paired deliberately and tailored to the lines of your home.
The quietest motors, the best finishes, and rain, sun, and wind sensors that do the thinking for you.
Structures built for the way you actually live — dinner parties in July, rainy Octobers, and everything between.
SJB Outdoor Living is the luxury division of South Jersey Blinds & Beyond — a trusted 35-year-old family business now expanded into custom luxury markets, designing and installing high-end motorized pergolas across South Jersey, the Jersey Shore, and Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
Each project starts with a conversation and a site walk — not a catalog. The work that follows is quiet, precise, and owner-supervised from first sketch through final walk-through. We take on a limited number of homes each season because the craft doesn’t scale any other way.
Our structures are engineered to 190 mph wind, PE-stamped in every jurisdiction we work in, and finished to architectural standards. Motorized, integrated, and invisible when you don’t need them.

Aerospace-grade aluminum, 190 mph wind rating, 25-year structural warranty — engineered outdoor rooms with a roof that opens to the sky.

Marine-grade aluminum, powder-coated in over 200 architectural finishes, with stainless hardware throughout.
Silent direct-drive motors, rain and wind sensors, and integration with Control4, Lutron, and your phone.
A one-on-one conversation with our design team to understand the house, the site, and what you want the space to feel like. Projects typically range from $50,000 to $250,000+. Complimentary and confidential.
